Sunflower lanyards already available on Island

MHKs debate Sunflower scheme in HoK

Official recognition of sunflower lanyards was introduced at Ronaldsway airport at the end of October last year, according to the infrastructure minister.

The lanyards are designed to show that the wearer has hidden disabilities such as autism and asperger’s, learning disabilities, dementia, mobility issues (e.g arthritis, MS, ME, chronic illness) and visual or hearing impairments. 

Following questions in the House of Keys, Ray Harmer says the Isle of Man Steam Packet and Sea Terminal will be following suit 'in the near future':
 

 
However, Onchan MHK Rob Callister says he’s heard from sunflower lanyard users who have not received the appropriate treatment thus far:
