'Storm Ewan' hits Isle of Man today

Forecasters predict damage to weakened areas, affected by Storm Doris

The newly-named 'Storm Ewan' will hit the Isle of Man today - with local forecasters predicting damage across eastern parts of the Island.

Ronaldsway Met Office says it won't be as windy as Storm Doris - experienced earlier in the week, but may hit areas weakened by it.

Winds will pick up this morning, although they won't be with us for long - by mid-afternoon, Ewan is expected to veer south-westerly, and ease again.

Areas worst affected will include Castletown Promenade, and the northern end of Douglas Promenade - with some 'coastal overtopping'.
