The Isle of Man Creamery says it hopes recent food shortages faced by the Island in the wake of Storm Darragh serve as a reminder of the need for consumers to support Manx producers.

Tesco has since apologised saying: "We’re sorry to customers impacted by lack of availability of some products in our stores on the Isle of Man.
"The severe storms over the weekend affected sailing of the steam packet delaying some our deliveries.
"The team is working hard to get more stock in stores and we anticipate being back to full availability by Tuesday."
Isle of Man Creamery posted photographs of the empty supermarket shelves on Facebook saying: "How many of us ventured out to do the big weekly shop and were met with empty shelves?
"The weather over the last couple of days has meant travel cancellations and disruption to the supply of imported stock for shops all over the Island.
"This only highlights the importance of continuing to support local food and drink producers to help ensure that even in these extreme weather situations, essentials are still available when you need them.
"Thank you to all of our loyal customers and everyone who supports local businesses whenever they can all through the year!"
