Debt counselling service expects increase in demand later this year

Now is the time to start cutting back to cope with the increased cost of living on the Isle of Man.

That's the message from a charity which provides a debt counselling service to local residents.

The Salvation Army says it's not as busy as usual at the present time, but it's expecting rising energy costs and high inflation to lead to an increase in demand for debt support later in the year.

Debbie White from the service is urging those concerned to start looking at their outgoing payments:
