Fund raising triumph by contestants
Final preparations are being made for the return of a traditional Island event with a new twist tomorrow (5 Aug).
After four months of build-up, Miss Isle of Man will be staged at the Villa Marina - the contest's first revival since 1999.
Now more about fund-raising and community involvement than a beauty pageant, 12 finalists will bid for the crown in front of a panel of judges.
Ahead of the gala ceremony, contestants have raised more than £138,000 for local charities, smashing an original target of £50,000.
