Social workers come together to recognise 'critical role' professionals play on Island

World Social Work Day marked at Noble's Hospital

Social workers on the Isle of Man came together this week to mark World Social Work Day.

The celebration, which was marked at Noble’s Hospital on Tuesday (18 March), sought to recognise the ‘critical role’ the healthcare professionals play on the Island.

It offered an opportunity for people in the profession to share ideas and knowledge.

John Moss went along to find out more and speak to some of those in the profession:

This year's global event had the theme: 'Strengthening Intergenerational Solidarity for Enduring Wellbeing’ to emphasise the importance of caring and respecting across generations to build strong societies, sustain the environment, and share wisdom for a better future.
