Lock-in offers taste of prison life

Home Affairs Minister and MLC for Jurby

Instead of avoiding prison, a group of Island residents has volunteered to be locked up for 24 hours.

Sixteen volunteers have put themselves forward to be arrested, taken to Jurby prison, and locked up in a cell overnight.

Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson and MLC Michael Coleman are among the group taking part on March 5 to 6.

Many involved are raising money for the charity PrisonWorks.
