Ronaldsway resumes flights following reports of drones

They've stressed that flying drones within 5km of the airspace poses serious danger

The Isle of Man Air Traffic Control Unit is currently working with police after reports of two drones which were made by a light aircraft.

The drones were spotted over the sea as the plane made an approach to the runway.

As a result, all arrivals and departures have been suspended until further notice.

The airport has stressed that flying drones within 5km of the airspace without permission is illegal and poses serious danger.

UPDATE 12.08: Ronaldsway airport has confirmed flights will resume as normal whilst further enquiries with law enforcement continues.
