Research Ethics Committee seeking two new members

Officials looking to appoint expert and lay member

Government is searching for two new members of a panel which oversees health and social care research on Island.

Officials are looking to appoint an expert member and lay member to the Isle of Man Research Ethics Committee.

The committee is responsible for looking at the ethics for any research proposals which involve human participants, tissue or data.

Government says applications can come from those with medical experience or those who haven't worked in the field before.

It adds full training will be given to those who take on the voluntary roles.

The deadline for applications is 26 August.

Details can be found by emailing research.enquiries@gov.im or calling 642 624.
