Hazel Hannan says the estate is 30 years old and needs refurbishing
Peel Commissioners says it has agreed to demolish the Reayrt Aalin housing estate.
New chair Hazel Hannan says the local authority had a 'great deal' of concern over it, but says it's for the best.
She says other issues, like the development of a new sewage plant, is not in their 'hands'.
Mrs Hannan says the commissioners need to make sure people have a 'satisfactory' place to live.
