Rare chance to buy Peel P50

£25,000 reserve worlds smallest car

There's a rare chance to buy an example of the world's smallest ever production car this week.

The Peel P50 was produced on the Isle of Man in the 1960s as a forward-thinking solution to urban transport, and at just 1.4metre by 1metre was recognised as the world's smallest production car in 2010.

Just 50 of the original P50's were built - and only 30 are thought to be still around today.

The example up for sale was made in 1963 and is in need of extensive restoration.

However, due to its rarity, it has a reserve of £25,000. The sale, in Leominster, is on Wednesday.

A fully restored P50 sold for $160,000 in 2016.
