Demonstration will set off from Whitebridge Car Park at 2pm
A demonstration is being held in Ramsey later to protest against potential urban development next to a nature reserve.
Plans which could've seen 200 houses built adjacent to Poyll Dooey were rejected in February.
But a Ramsey Commissioner says the application 'won't go away', as the developer confirmed it's looking at 'next steps'.
March organiser Lamara Craine says the community will 'defend the future of [the area] for generations to come'.
In a statement, Ms Craine emphasised the brevity of the march and 'underscores the significance of collective action in safeguarding the natural landscape and cultural heritage of Ramsey'.
She said: "We need as many people there as possible. Together, united under the banners of #SavePoyllDooey, #SaveRamsey, and #SaveTheTrees, communities stand ready to defend the future of Poyll Dooey for generations to come."
Those unable to participate are being urged to show support by 'sharing event details and raising awareness through social media channels'.
Members of the Save Poyll Dooey campaign will meet at the Whitebridge Car Park at 2pm.
Participants are urged to embrace sustainable transportation options, such as walking, public transit, or carpooling, as parking availability at the site is limited.
Attendees are also warned to expect 'potentially muddy fields and rugged terrain along the demonstration route' and are encouraged to wear sturdy footwear.
