Questions on health service standards in Keys

Twelve questions for oral answer

The Steam Packet, health and social care standards and flu jabs for teachers are all due to feature during House of Keys questions this morning.

In all, there are 12 for oral answer, with the sitting beginning, as usual, at 10am.

Among the questions, Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper will ask the Treasury minister how the Steam Packet shareholder agreement, which requires Tynwald to approve the company's operational business plans, squares with the company operating at arm's length from government.

Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse wants to know what advice the education minister has provided on offering front-line teaching and support staff the flu vaccine and Douglas South MHK Kate Beecroft has three questions for the health and social care minister.

These regard how he plans to improve waiting times, whether Community Care is complying with relevant legislation, and whether registration and inspection standards are being met by his department.

There's live coverage of House of Keys questions on Manx Radio's AM1368 frequency, online at manxradio.com and via the smartphone apps from 10am.
