Johnston Press claims trading has improved
Former Isle of Man Newspapers owner Johnston Press claims trading has 'improved' following its sale of the titles.
The publisher completed a £4 million deal for Island weeklies The Independent, The Examiner and The Courier - along with website iomtoday - in August.
They're now owned by Surrey-based Tindle Newspapers.
Johnston says following the 'successful disposal' of Manx titles, it's continuing to explore opportunities to sell off other news brands.
Since purchasing The i newspaper in April, circulation revenues for the group are up 18% - but total group revenues have fallen by 3.2% year on year for July-October.
Isle of Man Newspapers recorded a gross profit just below £600,000 in 2015.
