Government wants to introduce 'efficient and fair' entry processes
‘Proactive’ measures are being introduced at ports on the Isle of Man in a bid to stop criminal exploitation.
The Department of Home Affairs has released a new strategy today (18 September) called ‘Securing Our Island’.
It claims it will make it harder for the Island’s position within the common travel area to be exploited by securing borders and ensuring ‘efficient and fair’ entry processes.
It follows concerns about drugs, weapons, modern slavery and other criminal activities being facilitated through air and sea ports.
