ELS & Greenlight Television paid to create 'studio environment'
It cost £65,000 for the government to broadcast its coronavirus briefings during lockdown.
ELS and Greenlight Television were paid the sum to help create the 'studio environment' for ministers to speak directly to the public and media throughout the pandemic.
The external providers were chosen to ensure 'one media outlet wasn't favoured over another', and because they had the required expertise.
It's after initial coverage was done separately by each organisation.
The information has come to light via a Freedom of Information request, where government has also stressed that questions from journalists were not vetted.
It says queries were always put to politicians live and officials had no involvement in them.
After a month break, another conference will be held this afternoon at 4pm for a general update from Chief Minister Howard Quayle.
