President's vision for the future

The newly installed president of Hospice Isle of Man is looking to the future, and is hopeful of continuing support from the Manx public.

The local service was established in 1983, and the Venerable Brian Partington says since then it has grown beyond all recognition.

Hospice now provides palliative care for those in the last stage of their lives, and home nursing and a range of therapies for people living with cancer.

Much of what's been achieved has been down to fund-raising campaigns, and Mr Partington (pictured) is confident such support will weather the current financial crisis.

He believes the range of services offered will continue to grow in the coming years (play attached audio file):
