Young storytellers have been recognised for their outstanding skills with the pen.
Over 300 students from the Island's primary and secondary schools entered the Hall Caine Memorial Prize for Creative Writing, submitting short stories, memoirs, one-act plays and novel chapters.
The competition was launched last summer by Gloria Rukeyser the great-granddaughter of the celebrated Manx novelist.
First places in the three age groups went to Eve McGregor from Rushen primary, Isalen Cooper, who is home educated, and Katie Craig from St Ninian's High School.
Elizabeth Cubbon went along to the presentation of prizes at the Manx Museum and spoke to Mrs Rukeyser and some of the winners (play audio file):
Elizabeth Cubbon was speaking to Gloria Rukeyser, Isalen Cooper and Katie Craig, and the extract from Katie's winning entry, 'Memories', was read by Terry Cringle.
