Post-Covid economy to feature on Keys' agenda

Members table nine questions for oral answer

Boosting the post-Covid economy and helping businesses hit by the loss of two successive years' TT races will feature on the agenda of the House of Keys today (11 May).

Members will meet this morning from 10am.

Compared to recent months it's a relatively short order paper, with nine oral questions tabled.

Garff MHK Martyn Perkins will ask the enterprise minister whether a voucher scheme could help stimulate the Island's post-Covid economy.

Meanwhile, Infrastructure Minister Tim Baker is set to face a question from Onchan MHK Julie Edge on plans for a new half tide dock in Douglas.

Mr Baker will also answer enquiries about the meat plant, DOI, electricity charges, and the sea services agreement.

After questions, there are three bills for consideration, including first readings of the Liquor, Licensing and Public Entertainments Bill and legislation on local authorities.

You can listen to the sitting from 10am on AM1368 or online at ManxRadio.com
