Shows to go ahead around the Island to mark Bonfire Night
Port Erin fireworks could go ahead this year if the commissioners can find enough money.
The budget that is usually allocated for the display has been used elsewhere.
This week the commissioners voted in favour of the deputy clerk looking into emergency reserves to see if there is enough funding to put together a show at short notice.
Commissioner Hannah Mackenzie said: "I think it’s an amazing community event. I think we pioneered the silent ones last year. I think maybe we could go a bit further forward and look into drone shows going forward.
"The amount of happy people that gather in the community is just above and beyond anywhere on the Island."
Currently there are four firework shows scheduled elsewhere over the Bonfire Night weekend.
Douglas fireworks will be on 4 November, over the bay, at 7.15pm.
Ramsey fireworks will be held at Mooragh Park on 5 November.
The start time is as yet unconfirmed.
Laxey has planned two shows - the first on 5 November at Dhoon Church field will start at 6.30pm.
A second show will be held at the Valley Gardens a day later at 7pm.
Meanwhile, Peel fireworks will take place later this month.
A bonfire will be lit on 28 October, from 7pm, and the fireworks will be set off at 7.30pm.
