Planning permission requested for Laxey skatepark

Previous facilities were removed in 2019

Planning permission is being sought for a skatepark in Laxey.

Garff Commissioners want to build the facility between the existing tennis and basketball courts on Glen Road.

Plans include a 1.1 metre half pipe, 1.1 metre platform, large grind rail and flat wedge, and would all be made of recycled materials.

There were lightweight skateboard ramps in the town for around 12 years, but were decommissioned in 2019.
