Pedestrian killed in Onchan RTC

Driver assisting inquiries but no arrests have been made

A 66-year-old Onchan woman was killed in a serious road traffic collision in the village this morning, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to the incident at Royal Avenue close to its junction with Royal Drive at around 9.50am.

A white van and a pedestrian were involved and roads in the area were cordoned off as officers carried out investigations.

Police say the woman died at the scene as a result of the collision.

A number of other vehicles are thought to have been in the vicinity at the time of the incident.
