PE By-Election: Port Erin is a 'village for all'

Residents can vote on Thursday from 8am until 8pm

'I would like to give them a voice' because Port Erin is a 'village for all'.

That's the message from Hayley Fox, one of the candidates standing for one of the commissioner places in the south.

In her manifesto, one of the key things she wants to address is problems with housing and the maintenance of social housing.

She also wants to give young people a space and ensure that the commissioners are working with local traders more.

Local Democracy Reporter, Emma Draper spoke to her:

Ms Fox's manifesto is available on the Port Erin Commissioners' website here.

The by-election is taking place on 8 December to fill two vacant seats - six people are standing for election.

Residents can vote at Port Erin Commissioners' office on Bridson Street from 8am until 8pm.

The other candidates standing are:

  • John Anslow
  • Adele Betteridge
  • Dawn Curry
  • David Silvester
  • Ian Swindells

The Local Democracy Reporting Service has invited all the candidates to be interviewed ahead of the election.
