PAG gives verdict on govt programme

'Degree of realism' in policy commitments

The Positive Action Group has given a cautious welcome to the programme for government for the next five years.

The document - released on Tuesday and entitled 'Our Island - a Special Place to live and work' lists 20 key outcomes for the Manx government, along with a series of policy commitments and actions required to achieve them.

Its 24 pages set out priorities under three headings.

PAG's Roger Tomlinson believes there's a degree if realism within its pages.

Chief Minister Howard Quayle has promised quarterly updates on progress will be published by the Cabinet Office.
