'No need' for condom machines in schools

Minister confirms education policy

There are no plans to make condoms available in Island secondary schools, the education minister has confirmed.

In the House of Keys this week, Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson wanted to know what contraceptive services were provided to students.

Graham Cregeen says it’s important young people are 'properly educated' about sex.

He insists installing condom vending machines is not the right way, but acknowledges the arguments on both sides.
