TT ace misses out in poll
As a campaign to name a Lancashire road after John McGuinness gathers pace, another TT ace has been pipped to the post when it comes to naming an airport.
Guy Martin was included in a poll to find a potential new name for Humberside Airport in the rider’s home town of Kirmington.
Guy, who’ll be missing TT this year because of other commitments, managed 11 per cent of the UK poll and was the top choice for men.
However, he missed out to poet Philip Larkin – who took 15 per cent of the poll.
