No APD change here - minister

The treasury minister says UK changes to Air Passenger Duty next year will not be followed in the Isle of Man.

From April 1 2013 the duty will be extended to include smaller aircraft and so-called 'business jets', while those travelling on more luxurious aircraft will have to pay double the going rate.

The UK government says the move, supports its objective of a fairer tax system.

But here in the Isle of Man Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says it's not in the best interests of the aircraft sector to follow suit:
