News reading secures a permanent place in the Guild

Winners reflect on 'challenging' class

Manx Radio news readers could be looking to their laurels, after a new addition to this year's Guild.

The first ever news reading class took place this year, for both children and adults.

Vice Chairman of the Speech and Drama Festival, Anne Clarke, deemed the category a success, seeing it secure a permanent place in the Guild.

Adult winner Toby Smith and runner-up Lesley Lowe say the class was challenging:
