Barbara Brereton's seven-year tenure ends
Malew Commissioners have elected a new chairman for the year ahead.
Bob Pilling was chosen by members of the local authority this morning to take over from Barbara Brereton, who had been chair for the last seven years.
Board members thanked Mrs Brereton for her stewardship, and welcomed the appointment of Mr Pilling, who said he's looking forward to taking the reins.
He'll serve as chairman of Malew Commissioners until next year's local authority elections.
Margaret Mansfield was elected vice-chair.
