New London flights: 'Use it or lose it' says enterprise minister

Six month service underwritten by government

New flights between London City and Heathrow will continue beyond the initial six month period – but only if customers use them.

That's according to the enterprise minister who has confirmed to a Tynwald committee that new Loganair routes have been subsidised by government.

The London City service will start on 19 April with the Heathrow service starting on 3 May.

Giving evidence last week, Dr Alex Allinson says his department had been 'told of a demand for those flights and we want to make sure they use them':
