The Isle of Man Government has announced three senior appointments in the Island this evening (Tuesday).
Adam Wood, who recently retired from the British Diplomatic Service, will succeed Vice Admiral Sir Paul Haddacks as Lieutenant Governor, next year.
His last job was Africa Director at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, which saw him advise the Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary, and manage Britain's embassies and high commissions across the continent.
His Honour Deemster David Doyle has been appointed First Deemster and Clerk of the Rolls, succeeding the late Deemster Michael Kerruish, who died earlier this year.
Deemster Doyle has been Second Deemster since March 2003, was called to the English Bar in 1982 and the Manx Bar two years later.
A third appointment will see government advocate Stephen Harding take over from John Corlett QC as the Island's Attorney General, when Mr Corlett retires in April next year.
Mr Harding has been an advocate for more than 18 years, having been called to the Manx Bar in 1992.
He joined the Attorney General's Chambers as government advocate in February 2002 and has advised the Manx government on a wide variety of legal issues.
