More than 500 Covid vaccine appointments being brought forward

Gap between two doses being reduced to eight weeks

More than 500 Covid-19 vaccine appointments are being brought forward.

Government says the interval between doses is being reduced from 12 weeks to eight for anyone who had the Moderna jab on 14 June.

As a result anyone who this applies to will now have their second injection on 9 August.

All appointments will be at the same time and location as previously booked but on the new earlier date.

Government also says some residents have been incorrectly told their next appointment will be on 10 August due to an error in the call-out system.

Anyone who's received this notice is being asked to ignore it and stick with their original appointment date of 7 September.

Emails will be sent out today to reconfirm this.
