More needs to be done to highlight educational opportunities on Island

UCM students believe schools push pupils to further studies across

Do kids of school leaving age have all the information they need when looking at their options for higher education on Island?

University College Isle of Man is adding new degrees to its institution for pupils looking to further their education there.

However, some UCM pupils have been speaking with Manx Radio and feel more needs to be done to highlight the college - especially as school leavers start to weigh their options. 

The college held an open day for year 13's who are currently exploring their options.

Fine art, visual communications and a BA in health and social care are among the new courses available.

But the overall scope of promoting the education opportunities the Isle of Man has to offer is something students from UCM believe could be improved.
