Chair of the Housing and Communities Board responds to listener concerns
Money made from the sale of the former Lord Street flats would be ringfenced to create new social housing.
That's according to the Chair of the Housing and Communities Board, who was speaking on Manx Radio's Mannin Line programme this afternoon.
A listener asked what guarantees there are in place that the money would not be 'squandered' on projects elsewhere.
David Ashford insisted there are set rules already in place around the sale of social housing:
Smile of Mann programme to start in primary schools next year
Loganair passengers yet to be reunited with bags left in Manchester on Sunday
Kirk Michael man taking on 31 marathons in 31 days in memory of friend
Government grant partially funded fishing vessel later used for smuggling
