Government budget cuts may mean fewer investigations in future
Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson says cutbacks are limiting the amount of work police can do to tackle drug dealers.
In Tynwald this week he faced questions on the topic from Onchan MHK Peter Karran who said he was concerned falling budgets would mean fewer investigations.
Mr Watterson says his department has been affected by cuts along with the rest of government.
But he says despite the problems, officers are still hard at work fighting the drug trade here:
Prisoner accused of throwing boiling water over fellow inmate
Plans for 86-home development on former Buchan School site go on display
'Illegal and inconsiderate parking' hampering refuse collection in Onchan
Man accused in Cinder Path attack walks free
