Workers could receive at least 20p more per hour
Government says plans for a minimum wage hike must be suited to both the employer and employee.
Proposals due before Tynwald next week would see workers of all ages receive at least 20p more per hour from this June.
Employees aged 25 and over would also see a 50p increase to £7.50 an hour, under a new rate band.
Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly says the changes would bring the Island's policy in line with the UK, and make the labour market more 'competitive'.
But he also says he's keen to hear the concerns of industry:
