Anyone who coerces someone into agreeing to assisted dying will face a custodial sentence.
The House of Keys agreed to amend proposals after Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper sought to remove the option for a fine instead of a prison sentence.
The changes mean those convicted will now face up to 14 years in jail, should the Assisted Dying Bill be brought in.
Mr Hooper says the amendment brings the Bill in line with other legislation:
