MGP marshal numbers 'tracking slightly higher' in 2024

But TTMA still urging for more to sign up for next week's event

The number of marshals available to help run this year's Manx Grand Prix are 'currently tracking higher' than at this point in 2023.

That's according to the chair of the TTMA who says whilst it's positive they're still on the lookout for more volunteers to sign up to make sure sessions can go ahead.

575 marshals are needed, at a minimum, for any one session to be held at either the Isle of Man TT Races or Manx Grand Prix.

Jane Corlett told Manx Radio it's also about finding the right balance between new recruits and experienced personnel:

The 2024 Manx Grand Prix is scheduled to take place from 18-26 August - you can view the full MGP 2024 programme HERE.

Anyone interested in getting involved as a marshal can speak to staff at the TTMA at the marquee behind the TT Grandstand in Douglas near to The Mike Hailwood Centre.

Alternatively potential volunteers can also sign on and complete the relevant training courses online via the TT Marshals website.
