Meals on Wheels recipients hit by Jack Frost closure

More than 50 affected

The Department of Health and Social Care must ensure the Meals on Wheels recipients affected by the planned closure of Jack Frost are impacted as little as possible.

That's according to Bill Strutt, a Home Instead community officer who cares for people with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's in particular.

The supplier will more than likely cease trading a week on Friday, just weeks after these people had the upheaval of it being one of the companies to take over the Meals on Wheels contract.

Mr Strutt says helping the 52 affected in such a short space of time sounds like a big ask:
