Manx soldier's family to see Iraq report

Adam Smith killed in Basra

The family of a Manx soldier killed in Iraq will be among those to get a first look at an inquiry into the war, which will be published later today.

Kingsman Adam Smith was 19 when he, three other soldiers and a Kuwaiti interpreter were killed by a roadside bomb in Basra on April 5, 2007.

Adam was born on the Isle of Man and later moved to Liverpool, and served with the 2nd Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment.

The Chilcot Inquiry has spent seven years considering the war, and the families of those who lost their lives will see it before it's officially published today.
