Manx.net users are being asked not to click any links claiming to be from Manx Telecom in their mailbox.

It's after one Isle of Man resident contacted Manx Radio with a phishing email which claimed the account would be closed within days and to prevent this, the user needed to click the link and complete a form with their details.

In response to the phishing email, Manx Telecom says residents should remain vigilant against online scams that may appear to relate to these changes.

It adds it won't send out any clickable links for customers.

Meanwhile, the Cyber Security Centre says these emails, pretending to be from Manx Telecom or Junara, are continuing to mislead people, resulting in attackers gaining access to Manx.net email accounts.

Anyone who believes their account has been compromised is urged to contact Manx Telecom or Junara.
