People with learning disabilities on the Island are "over achievers" when it comes to their contribution to the community.

That's the view of the Manx Mencap charity.

It's using the theme of Learning Disability Awareness Week "do you see me?" to celebrate the qualities of the people it helps.

It's thought there are around 1,700 people with learning disabilities on the Island.

Manx Mencap has a series of events planned for the week.
