Over £1.1 million in loans issued
On what marked World Credit Union Day the Manx Credit Union marked its fifth anniversary.
Launched in 2016 to fill a gap in the savings and loans market for Isle of Man residents, it has nearly 1,000 members. Together they hold more than £850,000 in savings. Meanwhile, loans totalling over £1.1 million have been issued.
All staff and directors are volunteers, and give their time freely.
With pressures increasing on family budgets, Chairman and Founder, David Talbot, is expecting increased demand for the union's services.
