Man charged with dealing cocaine and possessing stun gun

Police find prohibited item during raid

A court’s heard an alleged cocaine dealer from Douglas had a stun gun in his kitchen when police raided his flat.

Forty-one-year-old Paul Craig, of Drury Terrace, appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.

He’s charged with possessing the prohibited item, as well as possessing cannabis and cocaine, and being concerned in the supply of cocaine on 4 February.

Prosecution advocate Rebecca Cubbon told the hearing police received information about Mr Craig after arresting a drug dealer and interrogating his phone.

The court heard officers discovered messages about drug dealing which led them to Mr Craig’s flat.

Miss Cubbon said inside they found cocaine with a street value of £150 as well as drugs paraphernalia such as scales and snap bags.

Officer are also said to have found the electroshock stun gun in the flat’s kitchen.

Magistrates refused a bail application and he was remanded in custody to next appear on 23 February.
