Sessions aim to break down stigma around condition
A mother of a child with dyslexia wants to make sure others with the condition don't feel isolated.
Julia Furner has created a new peer support group for both children and parents, which will meet on the first Thursday of every month.
The free group is aiming to develop a community in which people can learn about the condition, raise awareness and share advice.
Julia says she hopes this changes attitudes towards the condition:
The opening event is on Thursday 7 November where the group will meet at Cafe Laare on Lord Street from 7pm-8pm.
Times are subject to change in the future dependent on feedback from those attending.
