Volunteers from Boal & Co support local play charity
A local business has helped to revitalise and improve an 'adventure playground' used by a Manx charity.
All 40 staff members from Boal & Co’s Isle of Man Head Office, along with colleagues from its Gibraltar office volunteered at the site, which is situated in Ballaughton Park, Douglas.
The team undertook a whole range of practical assistance from strimming and mowing to tidying, sanding and painting.
Isle of Play CEO, Chris Gregory said they 'can’t thank them enough for their time and effort'.
Karen Kelly, Group General Manager, Boal & Co, said: "We were delighted to work with Isle of Play to make improvements to their urban adventure playground. The Boal & Co team really enjoyed getting stuck in and we were all truly inspired by the charity’s remarkable work in our community.”
Isle of Play CEO, Chris Gregory added: “We can’t thank Boal & Co enough for their time and effort. Lester’s Yard is looking fantastic and ready for summer. The Boal team were lovely people and such hard workers.”
Lester’s Yard is an adventure playground established by Manx charity, Isle of Play.
Named in memory of Stuart Lester, a leading thinker and lecturer in the field of Play and Playwork, its purpose is to enable children to play freely, build dens, grow and cook food and enjoy a range of outdoor opportunities.
