Lateral flow tests 'offer surveillance, not elimination'

Self-administered kits part of mitigation phase, says Ashford

Lateral flow tests will be used for surveillance, not as a measure to eliminate coronavirus.

That's from the Island's health minister as the self-administered swabs are being offered to pupils in local secondary schools.

The kits give a result within 30 minutes, and those testing positive will then be required to take a PCR test.
