Organisation says it wants to expand Island production
A business at Ronaldsway Industrial Estate is seeking planning approval for operational development at its premises.
Albion Knitting Company IOM LTD is hoping to replace the 'old derelict office' structure with modern two-storey workshops.
The company, which started on the Island in December 2023, previously refurbished the workshops of the building, including removing asbestos and replacing the roof.
Since the work, it has been able to manufacture on site and employ 64 members of staff.
In a letter to the planning authorities, the company says it wishes to continue to expand its production on the Island, adding to facilitate that growth it needs to replace the structure to complement the visual impact of phase one.
