Keys continue consideration of Abortion Reform Bill

Debate adjourned from last week

The Keys will consider further clauses of the Abortion Reform Bill this morning (Tues 13)

A long debate last week concluded in calls for the time limit to allow abortions on request to be reduced from 14 weeks to 12 weeks, and abortion for serious health reasons not to be allowed after 21 weeks instead of the proposed 23 being defeated.

The debate will pick up again today to consider another raft of amendments from MHKs including Ralph Peake, Daphne Caine, Lawrie Hooper, Chris Robertshaw and Health Minister David Ashford.

There are just four questions for oral answer on the West Midlands Quality Review Service reports, the re-location of adult social care, effective governance of health and care services and gender pay inequality.

Manx Radio will be covering questions live as usual on AM 1368 and staying on air to broadcast the adjourned Abortion Reform Bill debate.
