Business owners on the Isle of Man are being warned about keeping safe in the current climate.

Advice is being offered in the form of a quick guide to help commercial property doesn't become a target for potential offenders.

A guide to crime prevention for Manx businesses is available on the police social media pages.

It includes a reminder about the basics like making sure rear doors are locked during business hours as stock rooms can be a temptation for would be criminals.

Checking CCTV is also advised, as is not leaving high value items near an exit making it easy for an offender to walk in and steal.

Above all the message from the force is that help, and support is available, and businesses are encouraged to speak to their local station for further guidance.
